Bridging the gap between conscious choices and high-quality travel

What is REsponsible Travel?

Responsible travel calls us to take into account the social, economic, and environmental impacts of our travels on the destinations we visit, as well as on the world in general.

The term is often confused, combined, or used interchangeably with ecotourism, ethical travel, or sustainable tourism. For the sake of clarification, we can [perhaps] oversimplify these in definition to highlight the main differences between these terms.

Some of the more well-known are eco-tourism and sustainable tourism. Ecotourism in its traditional definition refers to low-impact travel to natural areas with an intent to learn about and preserve the areas visited. Sustainable tourism speaks of the sustainable practices utilized by those in the travel industry as a whole. We like to talk about responsible travel, because that’s where you come in. It’s about you knowing your impact and having the power to make good decisions in how you travel.

Responsible travel doesn’t mean you have to forego luxury and comfort.

We know that you can have both, and that you don’t have to choose between traveling responsibly and having high quality experiences.

We choose only the suppliers who prioritize their environment, local communities, and guests – guaranteeing a memorable and lower-impact trip. All of our properties, restaurants, on-the-ground hosts, and activities have been thoroughly vetted beforehand so you can travel responsibly knowing your journey is making a positive difference.

SUSTAINABILITY

At Good Trips, social, environmental, and economic sustainability is paramount in everything we do.

For each client, we commit to offsetting carbon through our partnership with Ecologi and planting trees in collaboration with Eden Reforestation Projects.

We will also provide packing tips and recommend design-led, eco-friendly gear so that you can enjoy a more responsible travel experience.

We support these organizations

Because They're making big impacts on the tourism industry. Join us in supporting a better way of travel.
